- What does it cost?
- Free for the writing core, with limits on manuscripts and AI usage. $15/month for Pro — unlimited writing plus full export options, with collaboration and AI assistance on the way.
- Is the Free plan really free forever?
- Yes. There's no trial clock on the Free plan — it's a permanent way to write a novel in Pagework, with the limits listed above.
- What happens if I hit a Free plan limit?
- You'll see an upgrade prompt before you hit a wall — for example, before you can start a second manuscript. Your existing work is never locked or deleted; you just won't be able to add more until you upgrade.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancelling Pro at any time keeps your account active on the Free plan, with your manuscripts and history intact within Free-tier limits.
- Do you train AI on my manuscript?
- No — on any plan, and that is a permanent commitment rather than a paid feature. When AI features arrive, your words go to an AI provider only when you ask for it, on the one manuscript you asked about, and our provider's terms exclude your words from training their models. We do not promise the provider stores nothing: that needs a separate zero-retention agreement, and we do not have one yet. Our privacy policy says exactly where this stands and we will update it the day it changes.
